1. Zero Customer Data Collection

Shred Sheets is completely free. We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, usage analytics, or customer information.

• No account creation, usernames, or passwords required.
• No email addresses, telephone numbers, or financial details gathered.
• No behavioral tracking, cookies, or unique advertising identifiers.

2. Android Permissions and Usage

A. Microphone Access (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO)

Shred Sheets requires microphone access solely to provide real-time audio pitch detection and visual tuning for musical instruments.

• Local In-Memory Processing: Audio samples captured by the microphone are converted to pitch data (Hertz / cents) entirely on your device using local mathematical algorithms (FFT / autocorrelation).
• Zero Audio Storage or Transmission: Audio is never recorded to your device storage, never cached to disk, and never sent over the internet. The raw audio buffer is immediately discarded once pitch frequency is calculated.

B. Vibration (android.permission.VIBRATE)

Used strictly to trigger subtle tactile feedback when notes are in tune or when interacting with metronome controls. No telemetry or personal data is collected.

3. Local Storage

Your local app preferences (such as selected instruments, tuning calibrations, color modes, and interface language) are stored exclusively in your device's private sandbox storage. This data never leaves your device and is erased if you uninstall the application.

4. Third-Party Services and Advertising

Shred Sheets contains no advertisements and integrates zero third-party analytics or monetization SDKs (no Google AdMob, no Firebase Analytics, no Facebook SDK).

5. Children's Privacy

Because Shred Sheets does not collect any personally identifiable information, it complies fully with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and Google Play's Families Policy requirements.
